Bet Online - Parlay/Cancelled Bet Question

My friend recently won a small bet ($6 to win about $110) on a 4 person prop bet parlay (taking over on points for one player, three pointers for another player, points for another player, and a game total over of 220 on Milwauke/Orlando). Based on it being 4 wagers, I think all of the lines make sense and Bet Online credited him with the win.

When he checked his account today, the bet was mark cancelled and Bet Online indicated that he had bet a bad line and it was cancelled.

Does anyone know what can be done in this case? Its not a big amount at all but just wondering how to best argue the bad line claim when it was a 4 leg parlay where the odds seem to make sense.

Maybe one of the bets was a bad line and I just don't know the standard odds/lines for these player props but just seems odd.

BetOnLine? don't think there is much to do for him. Honestly, if he has been paid before, then take that as a win and let this slide, nothing he does will change it

Bet Online has always paid me out. I think its generally fine for a small time player.

Just wondering if there are any options

I found the issue - total in the orlando game was off by about 4 points - not a crazy bad line and would've still went over anyway but I doubt they budge from this position

What? 4 points isn't a bad line. I am shocked betonline.ag is doing this...I have played there and they have always been solid. Are you 100 percent certain this was the issue.

File a complaint with SBR. I know a poker player lost out on the bad beat jackpot at betonline when the system froze and his hand was folded. He talked to Joey Ingram(poker player, podcaster) and betonline ended up paying out the 130k to all the players.

I know it's only $110, but if he is betting $6 parlays the money probably means something to him.

Sounds like the bets were correlated and that is why they didnt allow it. If players make over a number of 3's or points.....the odds of the game total going over increase.

I wont name the sportsbook but they had a flaw in their software in my opinion or it was being manually entered. On some games I could bet over in the 3rd quarter and parlay it to over in the second half. They were great bets when they were available. The odds are not 1 in four. If the third quarter goes over for example the odds of the second half going over greatly increases.

I dont know anything about the sportsbook just giving you a reason why they may have canceled the bet.

My first thought actually was that it was because it was correlated - just as you said, all those things tilt towards the over but thats not what they said - they said bad line on the total.

In any case, after some back/forth - they paid him for the parlay without the total so at least he got most of the winnings

Yes - they clearly told him that it was this line and he got it at like 220 and the line was 225. I told him to file with SBR but I think he will pass since they agreed to pay out without the bet included.

I also saw that poker case - that was pretty insane - definitely makes me want to stay away from any type of online poker or casino games.

Glad he got something. But that ruling is just plain stupid. I could understand if they had the halftime line up as the full game line. But 220 is not a bad line. Hell the number could have been bet down by a few large bettors on the under.

Also canceling it after the events were well over is shady as shit. I am glad he hadn't bet more on this parlay.
